Wensum Valley Cycling was formed in January 2014 when, after a few weeks of planning and Facebook posting, founding member, Paul Williamson, led the first group ride from the King’s Arms in Reepham. In April of the following year, the steadily growing club moved to its current base at the Parson Woodforde in Weston Longville.

With the support of the pub’s owners and helpful publicity from Pedal Revolution, numbers continued to increase and, by the end of the year, WVC became a club with a paid membership, rides on four days a week and a smart club jersey.

Now, with well over 100 active members, Wensum Valley Cycling continues to thrive and provides a wide range of rides and social activities for adults of all ability levels and experience. Our sportive in September, attracts cyclists from near and far and has now become a firm fixture on our calendar. We promote cycling at every opportunity and are proud to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Our main cycling and social base is The Parson Woodforde in Weston Longville and most of our group rides start and finish at the pub. The pub has just been taken over by a new management team, and we have been made very welcome before and after rides.
